Joseph Scott “Joe” Wegner, age 67, of Waldo, WI, passed away late Saturday evening (Nov. 5, 2016) at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born on November 3, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI, son of Marie (Rothlesberger) and the late Walter Wegner.

He attended Holy Ghost Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Milwaukee Rufus King High School in 1966. Joe served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971, where he was stationed in Germany and later Vietnam. He was very proud of his service.

On November 2, 1991, he married Constance Wieman, in the Chapel at Stone Croft in Grafton, WI. The couple has resided in Plymouth and Waldo since their marriage.

He worked at Borden Foods in Plymouth for over 30 years before retiring in 2012. Joe was a member at New Life Community Church and also belonged to the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post # 5612.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 25 years: Connie of Waldo, One daughter: Andrea D. Wegner of California; Two Grandsons: Tristan Scott Wegner-Waring and Brandon Anthony Dahm-Doebert; his Mother: Marie Wegner of Grafton; Special stepdaughters: Christina Rose Dahm and Jeanette Elizabeth Dahm; Three sisters: Marie (Tony) Marshall of Plymouth, Christine Wegner of Appleton and Elizabeth Wegner of Cedarburg; Four brothers: Walter Jr. (Robbie) Wegner of Minnesota, John (Chris) Wegner of Appleton, and twin brothers: Peter (Laurie) Wegner of Cedarburg and Paul Wegner of West Bend; Brothers-in-law: William Wieman of Antioch, CA and Thomas (Gaylene) Wieman of Saukville; very special sister-in-law: Deborah Wieman of Waldo, his mother-inlaw: Joan Dwyer of Sheboygan and a close Aunt: Ruth Adams of California.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous close friends. Joe was preceded in death by his father; Walter, uncle; Arlan Wegner, step-son; Matthew Dahm, step-granddaughter; Heather Dahm and brother-inlaw: Ray Wieman.

Following Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held on Friday November 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Chaplain Bob Bledsoe will officiate. Inurnment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.

Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday, Nov.ember 11 from 3:00 p.m.. until the time of services.

The Plymouth VFW World Center Post # 5612 will conduct Military Rites following the services on Friday evening.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joe’s name.
