Donald E. Seifert, age 86, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Thursday Evening (November 17, 2016) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.

He was born on August 4, 1930 in Mequon, WI, son of the late George and Linda (Lueders) Seifert.

He graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1949. On October 11, 1952 he married Audrey Rappold at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Don served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1953 and was in the Air Force Band. While in the Air Force, Donald and Audrey lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Florida.

In 1962 Donald and Audrey moved to Plymouth where Donald managed the Western Auto store. He worked at Kohler for 7 years and was a supervisor at Gilson Brothers for 20 years until retirement.

Don enjoyed playing in the Civic band and Polka band. He loved camping, hiking, cooking, reading, puzzles, and family time.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty four years: Audrey of Plymouth; 4 children: Mike (Kim) Seifert of Plymouth, Randy (Pam) Seifert of Germantown, Scott (Becky) Seifert of Plymouth and Dawn Seifert of Plymouth; grandchildren: Sarah, Sara, Ryan, Brandon and Brittany; sister: Marge (Warren) Mueller of SC; Sisters-in-law: Alda Rappold of MN and Renata Rappold of Cedarburg; and a special family friend: Lee Gentine of Plymouth.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Linda Seifert; brothersin law: Edward, Kenny and Harold.

Funeral services were held on Monday Evening (November 21, 2016) at 5:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, Pastor of the Church officiated. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Cedarburg on Tuesday Morning at 10:00 A.M.

Friends could call at the church on Monday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Don’s name for the Tree of Life Retreat Center.
