Weill Center seeks donations for upkeep of restored theater

The Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Occurring this year on Nov. 29, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kickoff the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

As would be expected of a building that has welcomed more than 300,000 people over the past 15 years, there are several areas in need of funds. This year, contributions made to the Weill Center during Giving Tuesday will go toward the unrestricted general care of the theater fund, unless specified otherwise.

“We are especially grateful for the generosity of all who made this theater a reality,” said Steven Schmitt, president, Weill Center Foundation Board of Directors. “This is the season for giving and in that spirit, we hope you will continue to include the Weill Center in your contribution decisions.”

Those who are interested in joining the Weill Center’s #GivingTuesday initiative can visit www.weillcenter.com/givingtuesday.

If you prefer to direct your donation to a specific project, please refer to our ‘wish’ list, available at the Ticket Office and on our website, and consider a donation toward one of these items.
