Cutting the ribbon on new museum display

The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the recently opened exhibit, “The Plank Road Trail Exhibit,” at the Plymouth Historical Society Museum. The Plank Road exhibit allows visitors to stroll on actual planking and visit store fronts that once graced Mill Street, including an optometrist’s office, a barbershop, toy shop, furniture store and church. Artifacts, many from local collections, are displayed within the stores and are a delight to see. The Plymouth Historical Museum is located at 420 E. Mill St. They are open, free of charge, Thursday-Sunday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The museum phone number is 920-893-1876. The Plymouth Historical Society invites the public to view the new exhibit as well as the rest of the museum Friday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Homemade Christmas cookies will be available to purchase at $5 for a two-pound box. These are perennial favorites and often sell out quickly.
