PHS JV girls win hoops debut

PLYMOUTH – The Plymouth junior varsity No. 2 girls basketball team rolled to a 46-8 win over Sheboygan South in nonconference action Tuesday night at the PHS gym. The victory came in the Panthers’ season opener. Dallas Kreisa led a balanced PHS attack with 12 points, followed by Elise Bleck with 10 and Kiara Yurk, seven. “Our defense really set the tone, getting up the line and stealing the passes to the wing, leading to easy layups on the other end,” said Panther coach Scott Milslagle. “We limited our turnovers and worked the ball around real well and had plenty of open looks on offense. I felt that we played a nice ball game, considering the short time we have had together in practice. This team will only continue to get better as the season progresses.”
