Thursday, Dec. 1, 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at Festival Foods, 595 S. Taylor Dr., Sheboygan. Features UW-Sheboygan Chorus, Small Vocal Jazz Group, and the Jazz Ensemble.

Friday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m.-6 p.m. at Quarryview Center, 3401 Calumet Drive, Sheboygan. This performance is in connection with the Sheboygan Rotary Clubs’ “Making Spirits Bright” event at Evergreen Park. Features UW-Sheboygan Chorus and a small jazz combo.

Thursday, Dec. 8, 7 p.m. MUSE Concert at UW-Sheboygan University Theatre, One University Dr., Sheboygan. Features UWSheboygan University Chorus and Jazz Ensemble. MUSE stands for Musicians from the University Soloists and Ensembles.

All performances are free and open to the public; with donations to the music department accepted at the MUSE Concert. Dr. Christy Talbott, UW-Sheboygan Assistant Professor of Music, directs the University Chorus, which includes students from the university as well as community members. Paul Sucherman directs the Jazz Ensemble. An outstanding jazz combo, that originated in a music class on campus, will have their stage debut with holiday and jazz standards.

According to Dr. Talbott, “The variety of our selections offers music for everyone - from Hans Hassler's Dixit Maria to traditional gospel's Go Tell It On the Mountain to Henry Mancini's Pink Panther Theme. This concert is sure to raise some holiday cheer.”

UW alum will be invited on stage and audience members invited to sing along to close the concert with an arrangement of Irving Berlin's White Christmas and Franz Gruber's Stille Nacht.” WTMJ Radio will be featuring recordings from the jazz group during this holiday season.
