Pregnancy Center changes name

New Hope Pregnancy Center held its second fundraiser Oct. 11. Showered in support by the community and attended by more than 300 guests, this year’s guest speaker was Mareza Landeros of Milwaukee.

Landeros shared her personal testimony of an unplanned pregnancy, her journey through it and how a pregnancy center played a vital role in her and her son’s story.

A special part of the evening included a live ultrasound of a 19-week unborn baby showcasing the new ultrasound machine that arrived last August allowing the center the opportunity to provide free and confidential viability of pregnancy to their clients.

Another unveiling at the event was the announcement of their upcoming name change to Anchor of Hope Health Center. This gender neutral name is aimed at being more inclusive and it more accurately depicts the limited medical services that will soon be available to both women and men.

The center’s current location was secured in December of 2014 and New Hope officially opened its doors in August of 2015. It is located at 703 N. Ninth 9th St. in Sheboygan.

New Hope exists to help women know and understand all of their pregnancy options. Information is provided on single parenting, co-parenting, adoption and abortion in a no-pressure environment. Services are free of charge, confidential, and professional. Appointments may be made by calling (920) 452-4673. Visit for more information or like us on Facebook.
