The Resorters won the Menominee dual on criteria after the teams tied 42-42. The Resorters rallied from a 42-24 deficit against Menominee with three straight pins by Nelson, Behnke and Taylor Cain to tie the match, 42-42.

“We had a great team performance today from our young squad,” said Resorter head coach Larry Ward whose team has only one senior.

“I am very proud of all the kids today. Everyone wrestled well and wrestled hard.

“Yoshi Sesoko (170) and Finn Shields (182) wrestled up for the team, giving up quite a bit of weight, but wrestled well – picking up some valuable mat time,” said coach Ward about the two freshmen.

“These two continue to show improvement in the practice room and both are tough kids. They just need to get more mat time to hone their technique and learn to stay in good position.”
