Agnes “Aggie” A. Meerstein, age 79, of Plymouth, passed away late Sunday afternoon (Dec. 18, 2016) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility (Woodland Village) surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 4, 1937 at the family home in St. Nazianz, the 7th daughter of the late Paul and Claira (Knier) Anders.

Aggie attended Valders High School graduating in 1955.

On November 17, 1956, she married Jerome Meyer at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz and they resided on his grandparent’s farm in Manitowoc County and then later in Plymouth.

On March 21, 1981, she married Raymond Meerstein at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and they resided in Plymouth. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2009.

Agnes was employed over the years at The Tinsel Factory in Manitowoc, PIP, Gilson (Toro) and retired from Kmart in 1999.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Agnes enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, miniature bowling, going to Las Vegas with her husband, Ray, and going “up north” to the casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons: Larry (Cynthia) Meyer of Sheboygan Falls, Victor (Deborah) Meyer of Plymouth, Dale (Lisa) Meyer of McFarland; Step-Son: Donald (Lynn) Meerstein of Plymouth; Grandchildren: Jeff (Lisa) Meyer, Jason (Tracey) Meyer, Jeremy (Katie) Meyer, Heath (Melissa) Meyer, Chris (Special friend: Lisa Finney) Meyer, Lauren (Kristofer Buhalog) Meyer, Jackson Meyer; Great-grandchildren: Brendon, River, Aidan, Aubrey, Riley, Mason, Elizabeth, Felix Rae Buhalog; Step-son-in-law: Joseph Kohlman; Step-grandchildren: Emma, Christopher (Rose), Brittany, Tiffany (Mark), Christopher (Lisa); Sister: Sylvia Anders; Brotherin law: William Mastropietro.

Agnes is also survived by many stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband: Raymond; Son: Keith; Sisters and Brothers-in-laws: Irene (Al) Robertson, Helen Mastropietro, Rita (Norbert) Glessing, Marcella (Martin) Bennington, Catherine (Robert) Warzella; Step-daughter:

Janice Kohlmann.

Funeral services were held on Thursday evening December 22, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Aggie’s name for St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
