Fire damages garage, home

On Wednesday December 28, 2016, at 5:13 PM the Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department and Johnsonville Fire Departments were dispatched to N5598 County Highway M, in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, for a report of garage fire.

The initial dispatch advised that there were flames showing and the garage was attached to the house. The Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department activated the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) to the working still level.

Other agencies that were dispatched to the scene included: Fire Departments from City of Sheboygan Falls, Village of Cedar Grove, City of Plymouth, Village of Kohler, Town of Sheboygan, and Franklin. Town of Wilson First Responders also responded, along with the City of Plymouth Fire Department Ambulance.

Upon arriving, the Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department noticed that there were heavy flames from the garage area and the fire was spreading into the residence. The lone occupant and dog were able to escape the residence without injury. By 5:52 PM the fire was under control and almost extinguished.

There was significant damage to the garage and a portion of the residence. There were no injuries to the homeowner or any fire department member. The fire remains under investigation by the Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Team. C&S Construction salted the roadways near the fire scene and Plymouth Utilities responded as well.
