CAROLYN K. KITZEROW

Carolyn K. Kitzerow, age 69, died on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born in Plymouth, on September 24, 1947 to the late Jerome and Lorraine (Vanderkin) Block. She attended Cascade grade school and graduated from Plymouth High School.

On November 16, 1968 she was united in marriage to Mervin Kitzerow at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade where she was a lifelong member.

Carolyn worked at Borden Cheese in Plymouth until the birth of their three children. She then was able to enjoy raising them all while participating in 4H and many other activities. Once the children were grown, she enjoyed working at Holiday Trims in Belgium.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by her family whom meant so much to her. Her grandchildren could always count on her cheering them on at their sporting events, or going to their cattle and pig shows. Whenever anyone needed her, she was there to support them in any way she could. She thoroughly enjoyed babysitting her great niece and nephew (Lily and Jacob Block), who were like grandchildren to her.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Mervin; her three children, Mike (Chris) Kitzerow of Cascade, Denise (Ed) Beck of Plymouth, and Todd (Nicole) Kitzerow of St. Charles, IA; nine grandchildren, Jacob (Jenna) Gullett, Kevin Gullett, Morgan and Anna Kitzerow, Kim (special friend Jake Ulezelski), Jared and Logan Beck, Cody and Ty Kitzerow; one great grandson Finn Kitzerow; a brother Gene (Barb) Block of Cascade; three brothers-in-law Chuck (Darlene) Kitzerow of Rochester, MN, Duane (Karen) Kitzerow, and Eugene Kitzerow of Sauk City, WI ; a sister-in-law Bernie Miller of Columbus, WI. Nieces, nephews, and other family further survive.

Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Richard (Fiancee Phyllis Arndt) Block.

A funeral service for Carolyn was held on Friday December 30, at 11:30 AM, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade with Rev. Richard Bidinger officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Friends and family could gather at the church, 509 Milwaukee Ave, Cascade, on Friday from 9:30 AM until the service at 11:30 AM.

A memorial fund has been established in Carolyn’s name.
