The nonconference victory raised the Tigers’ record to 8-1 and stretched their winning streak to seven. The Raiders slipped to 8-3.

Schaller scored a game-high 18 points and led HG in rebounds and assists with five each. She sparked the Tigers’ attack in the second half with 14 points. Schaller also contributed two steals.

The Tigers’ defense, which has been stingy all season, held Kiel to only 13 points in the first half. HG held a 19-13 halftime lead.

Olivia Stauss paced HG in steals with four and Addi Gerber had two.

Senior center Sierra Schobert was Kiel’s top scorer with 11.

“It was a strong performance. Our defense was very good and we answered all their runs with baskets of our own,” said Tiger head coach Heidi Georgeff.

“We talked about limiting [Josie] Binversie’s and [Savannah] Walsdorf’s scoring opportunities and between them both they only had one field goal.

“Individually, Brittany had a big night on 5-for-9 shooting [from the field], five assists and five rebounds,” said Georgeff.
