Edible Landscaping program topic

Join the Sheboygan County Master Gardeners for a program by John Holzwart on Edible Landscaping using perennial food crops. The program will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. in Room 5020 at UWExtension on the UW-Sheboygan campus, Sheboygan.

Why till and plant annuals every year when you can plant once and harvest with ease every year?

So you like fruit trees but you’re not sure you want the mess or can’t keep up with the harvest. Why not choose a dwarf tree?

You like strawberries but the bending over to pick is back breaking work. How about a raised bed?

There are so many ways to make your yard more productive with less work. Holzwart will share tips and tricks for turning your yard into your private grocery store. You’ll be surprised at the unique, wide variety of edibles you can grow.

Holzwart is sole proprietor of Plant Based Services LLC, a Sheboygan based community resource committed to sharing earth centered services and products, including handmade brooms, beekeeping, fruit tree grafting and orchard maintenance.
