Maintenance work set on I-43

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) Northeast Region office in Green Bay is announcing state highway maintenance work in northeast Wisconsin this week. All maintenance operations are weather dependent.

There will be several projects on Interstate 43 in Sheboygan County.

Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on southbound I-43 at Mueller Road from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26. Motorists will encounter lane closures on southbound I-43 during the repairs.

Maintenance crews will be repairing the beam guard on southbound I-43 at Pigeon River from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26. Motorists will encounter lane closures on southbound I-43 during the repairs.

Maintenance crews will be repairing the beam guard on northbound I-43 at State 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, Jan. 27. Motorist will encounter lane closures on northbound I-43 during the repairs.

Maintenance crews will be repairing the beam guard on southbound I-43 at County EE from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27. Motorists will encounter lane closures on northbound I-43 during the repairs.

Maintenance operations are typically performed in spot locations in the project limits. Traffic impacts do not typically affect the entire highway limits of the maintenance project, or throughout the project’s entire duration. Motorists are urged to slow down and be mindful of workers in close proximity on highways.
