PHS racked up 167 points, followed by Two Rivers/Manitowoc Roncalli with 57 and Berlin/Green Lake, 40. The Panthers finished 7-1 in EWC duals and 10-2 overall.

Sophomore Charlie Waitkus was a double-winner in leading the Panthers. Waitkus took first in the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 8.60 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:50.85.

PHS finished first and second in eight events.

“It was a great meet by our teams [varsity and junior varsity] last night. Again this meet we moved people around to swim things they don’t normally swim with some great results, except for diving of course,” said Panther head coach Clare Sedlacek.

“Charlie Waitkus continues to put forth superb effort both in practice and in competition as he wins the 200 free.

“Jaxsen Schermacher recorded his fastest 50 freestyle time, taking first in 25.26 seconds. Our divers continue to work hard and score great points for the team.

“Leander Leinen had his best time of the season in the 100 butterfly, going a very fast 58.89 [to place second],” said Sedlacek.

The Panthers were first in the junior varsity meet with 118 points and Two Rivers was second with only five. B/GL didn’t field a JV team.
