VIRGINIA V. KIPP

Virginia V. Kipp, 84, of Plymouth, passed away on Friday evening, January 27, 2017 at Liberty House Assisted Living in Fond du Lac.

Virginia was born on October 1, 1932 in Somerville, New Jersey, a daughter to Frederick J. and Freda F. (Freuler) Becker. She graduated from high school in Somerville in 1951. Following high school she was employed as an executive secretary at Union Carbide. On June 26, 1965 she was united in marriage to Herve E. Kipp in New Jersey. They moved to Plymouth in 1985. Herve preceded her in death on June 30, 1990. Virginia had also worked as a cashier at the Sentry Foods in Plymouth. Throughout her life Virginia enjoyed photography, gourmet cooking and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Virginia was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She took an active part in the community volunteering her time for the Valley View Medical Center Auxiliary, Plymouth Historical Society, Sheboygan County Historical Society, the Plymouth Arts Foundation and the Arts Centers in Sheboygan and Plymouth.

Virginia is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lynwood and Stephanie Kipp of Fond du Lac; her granddaughter, Harper Kipp; a sister, Thelma Krehely of Somerville, NJ; her nieces, Colleen Krehely of Germantown, MD and Patricia Krehely of Somerville, NJ. She is further survived by numerous cousins and friends here in the Midwest and on the East Coast. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick J. Becker, Jr. a sister Marion E. Becker and a brother-in-law, Peter Krehely.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM, Wednesday, February 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dennis Van Beek as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may visit at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services 123 South Street, Plymouth on Tuesday evening, January 31 from 4 PM until 7 PM and on Wednesday at the church, 115 Plymouth St. , Plymouth from 12 Noon until time of Mass at 1 PM.

Virginia’s family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to staff at Cedar Bay Assisted Living, Liberty House Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the care and comfort given to her.
