Marvin M. Daniels, age 79, of Glenbeulah, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family early Sunday evening, February 5, 2017.

He was born in Ladysmith, WI on September 30, 1937, son of the late Leland and Bernice (Vasseur) Daniels.

Marvin graduated from Weyerhaeuser High School in 1955 and continued his education at Purdue University and St. Norbert College in DePere.

On November 10, 1956, he married Geraldine Wutkiewicz at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyerhaeuser, WI. The couple has resided in Northern and Southern Wisconsin for 25 years and in the Plymouth area for 25 years.

He worked in the insurance field for 48 years and was a district manager for the Rural Insurance Company for the last 25 years, retiring in 2005. Upon retirement, he was an avid wood worker creating much sawdust.

Marvin was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden and also belonged to the Outdoor Adventure Foundation, Rusk County Wildlife Association, Northern Kettles Chapter of the NWTF, Jaycee’s, and Rotary Club.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 60 years: Geraldine of the Town of Greenbush; Three daughters: Julie (Mike) Burkart of Plymouth, Cindy (Hank) Jahnke of Lancaster, SC, and Linda (Steve) Horvat of Louisville, KY; One son: Michael Daniels of Sheboygan; Seven grandchildren: Aaron (Emily) Burkart of Plymouth, Lisa (Teague) Martis of Fond du Lac, Stephanie (Zach) Lee of Fond du Lac, Adam (Meghan) Jahnke of Landrum SC, Grant Jahnke of Charlotte, NC, Keaton (Clare) Horvat of Louisville, KY, and Austin Horvat of Louisville, KY; Six great-grandchildren: Oliver and Henry Burkart, Elizabeth Fincher, Colton and Josette Jahnke, and Ellie Horvat; Two brothers: Rodney (Karen) Daniels of Minneapolis, MN and Bernard (Gladys) Daniels of Cameron, WI; One Sister: Shirley Kaas of Sheboygan Falls; and Sister-in-law: Jenny (Tom) Kaminski of Minneapolis, MN.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday (February 9, 2017) at 5:00 P.M. at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church in Eden. Father Mark Jones, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Cremation will take place following the services.

Visitation will take place at the church on Thursday (Feb. 9) from 3:30 P.M. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marvin’s name.
