Approximately 80 people – including local residents, HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital colleagues and leaders, Acuity colleagues and leaders and members of the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce – attended a ribbon-cutting and open house recently for the new Acuity ICU/ IMCU at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Doing the ribbon-cutting honors were (left to right, above) Mary Starmann- Harrison, president and CEO, Hospital Sisters Health System; Therese Pandl, president and CEO, Hospital Sisters Health System – Eastern Wisconsin Division; Sr. Maureen O’Connor, OSF, Provincial Superior of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis; Ben Salzmann, president and CEO, Acuity Insurance; and Andy Bagnall, president and CEO, HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital.

One of the seven ICU (Intensive Care Unit) patient rooms that make up the Acuity ICU/ IMCU at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital is shown at right. These patient rooms are larger than the former ICU rooms at the hospital and also feature their own private bathrooms. There are also five IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) patient rooms in the Acuity ICU/IMCU.
