Lions donate to HG Fire Department

The Howards Grove Lions Club presented a $3,744 check to the Howards Grove Fire Department to purchase a Class II containment fill station recently. These containment stations are necessary to fill the air tanks worn by the fire fighters needed to breathe in the smoky, fire -filled areas. The stations will protect the operator using them, should a tank being filled with compressed air explode. On hand at the fire station for the check presentation were (left to right) Howards Grove Lions Janet Limberg, Al Rohde, President Veryl Graf, President Elect Ken Rohde, Wallace Leonhard and Roy Gadicke with Howards Grove Fire Department representatives Chief Tyler Wuestenhagen, Capt. Cody Fuller, Assistant Chief Scott Weber, Assistant Chief Ryan Duening and Captain Tom Weber.
