Play premieres at UW-F

The UW-Fond du Lac Theater Department will present “When They Speak of Rita” by Daisy Foote March 8-12 in the Prairie Theater, 400 University Dr. Show times are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee Sunday at 2 p.m.

“When They Speak of Rita” is a Fond du Lac premiere produced and directed by UW-Fond du Lac communication and theater arts professor Richard Gustin that features UW-Fond du Lac student actors and technicians.

The cast includes UWFDL students Alysa Mies, Max Kroll, Joey Wiedmeyer, Jesse Kiehl and alum, Sarah Lally. The understudies are Dylan Palmer, Kylee Brabant, Ty Trainor and Cierra Glaeser. The student technicians are Lillian Talavera, Mason Melius, Ashley Francis, Donovan Katarincic, Jesse Kiehl, Max Kroll, Patrick Schultz, Caitlynn Ramos, Erin Sugden, Cierra Glaeser and alum Nathaniel Hounsell. The costume designer is Nichole Reno and the technical director is Bruce Towell. The production is stage managed by Kylee Brabant and MaKenzie Bauman. Lighting Design is by Andy Sehloff.

Gustin and Kayoung Kim, psychology; Kristi Wilkum, communication arts; Paisley Harris, women’s studies; Wendi Turchan, art; Lee Watson, health sciences; Damon Schneider, film and James Hutchinson, Paul Sager and Henry Lindborg, English, along with their classes, are involved in a campus-wide interdisciplinary studies project connected to the production.
