Aviation Heritage Center officially recognized

Devin LeMahieu (middle) at the capital in Madison to recognize the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 4, which formally designated the Aviation Heritage Center in Sheboygan Falls as Wisconsin’s official state aviation heritage center. “This designation enhances the AHCW’s leadership and credibility in the areas of aviation history and education,” said AHC Executive Director Jon Helminiak. “It will also aid us in obtaining additional cooperation from town, county and state governments. Across the United States, very few non-profit organizations, especially one of our size, obtains special recognition from their respective state legislatures. We are planning to host a celebration of this declaration sometime this spring at the Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin located at the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport.” Helminiak acknowledged several people for helping the AHCW in Sheboygan, including AHCW board member Jerry Baumann, who networked with and lobbied, state officials for the past 18 months; LeMahieu; state Rep.
