Dianne K. Osius, age 70, of Plymouth, went into the arms of her Savior early Sunday evening (March 5, 2017) surrounded by her loving family at her home, following a long, hard fought battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

She was born in Plymouth on May 1, 1946, daughter of the late Marvin and Lucille (Pennell) Hein.

Dianne attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1964.

On November 14, 1964, she married Fred Osius at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

Her favorite job was taking care of her four loving children and husband. She then became a realtor for Shorewest Realty for several years. She later became the manager of the Berkshire/ Hunters Ridge Apartments in Plymouth for 25 years, retiring in 2012.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and loved her Bible Study Group. She also served as an alderperson for the City of Plymouth, serving on the Planning Commission and Parks Commission for many years.

Dianne was also a member of the Plymouth Junior Women’s Society, holding the position of President, as well as many other offices in the Club.

Dianne lived for seeing the faces and accomplishments of her grandchildren. She loved spending time in her flower beds and enjoyed going on over 30 cruises during her life. Most of all, Dianne loved the hugs and kisses of her husband, children, and grandchildren. They meant more to her than anything on this earth.

Survivors include: Her husband of 52 years: Fred of Plymouth; Four children: Lisa (Peter) Wernecke of Rogers, MN, Christine (Richard) Krueger of Plymouth, Paula (Sonny) Vaughn of Plymouth, and William Osius (special friend: Stacey) of Kewaskum; Eight grandchildren: Annie and Katie Wernecke, Alex, Meg, Lainey, and Lilly Krueger, and Brandon and Aubrey Vaughn; Two sisters: Sharon Stemper of Orange Park, FL and Sandy Wieland of Plymouth; One brother: Dennis (Nancy) Hein of Plymouth; and two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Beringer of Elkhart Lake and Marge Vander Steeg of Green Bay.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dianne was preceded in death by: Her parents; In-laws: Chuck Stemper, Ronnie Wieland, Lee Vander Steeg, and Warren Beringer, Lorna (Bob) Van Hoose.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday evening (March 9, 2017) at 6:00 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador and Rev. John Schultz, Pastors of the Church officiated. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation took place at the church on Thursday (March 9) from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dianne’s name.
