Middle school track offered

Plymouth-area boys and girls in grades seven and eight are invited to participate in extracurricular track this spring.

An informational meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 16 in the Jim Urness Gym at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle.

Practices will begin Monday, April 3 and run from 3- 4:30 p.m. school days at Riverview and Plymouth High School. Meets take place in April and May. The team is coached by Riverview teachers Jessica Barrington, Sara Schubert and Jim Sedlacek; and PHS teacher Kamie Gritt.

Middle school athletics, which are open to all area students whether they attend public or parochial school or are homeschooled, are coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation. The cost of each sport is $20.
