MILFORD C. SCHRAM

Milford C. “Micky” Schram, age 97, of Plymouth, WI, went to be with the Lord on early Friday morning (March 17, 2017) at his home in Plymouth, where he had been living with his niece, Debi, for the past 11 years.

He is formerly of Birch Point Drive, Little Elkhart Lake, where he lived for 40 years.

Micky was born on April 3, 1919 at the farm homested in the Town of Plymouth, a son of the late Fredrick and Ella (Jens) Schram.

He worked for many different farmers in the area before he went to work at Cleveland Container for 6 years. He then moved to Springfield, MO and worked for a collection agency and a newspaper. When he came back to Wisconsin, he worked at Memorial Hospital for 2 years and then for Romy Verch (until it became Gilson Brothers), for 25 years.

Micky was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth and was a driver for the church for 5 ½ years. He was also a First Responder for 7 ½ years. “Micky” as many knew him, was a founding member of the Plymouth Model Railroad Club. He made his own train engine and many box cars that he pulled in parades all over Sheboygan County with a garden tractor. He also was a charter member of Rhine Field and Stream. In his spare time he made models of (yes) trains, planes and automobiles. He also loved bowling, was well known on the bowling circuit, and ran the Stardust Roller Rink at Lake Ellen.

Micky is survived by Two brothers; Willard Schram of Plymouth and Fred (Carol) Schram of Sheboygan Falls; and many many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister: Delores Cudworth; One brother: Donald Schram; One sisterin law: Jackie Schram.

“Micky” will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others.

Funeral Services were held on Sunday afternoon (March 19, 2017) at 5:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth officiated. Burial will be in the Plymouth Union Cemetery.

Friends could call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 3:00 P.M. on Sunday (March 19) until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Micky’s name.
