Meeting Minutes

The meeting of the Auxiliary of the Haslee-Doebert Schmidt American Legion Unit #261 of Greenbush was called to order by President Leslie Sanzo on March 9 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Greenbush.

A prayer was read by Bernie Strong.

A moment of silence was observed for our deceased members.

10 senior members answered roll call.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer’s report was filed for audit.

Liz Quackenboss reported on the Sunshine Fund.

We received “Thank you” notes from Olive Ardell, Linda Fox, Joann Garner, Zablocki Gift Bags, Chris Koenigs and Fischer House.

April and May Calendar.

April 1 - Sheboygan County Auxiliary meeting at Random Lake will be at Cathy’s CafĂ© at 8:30 a.m..

April 13 - Meeting will be at 1pm at the Greenbush Legion Hall. Will need volunteer hours, judge Poppy Posters and February Fun Calendar

April 15 – Easter Egg hunt at Greenbush Legion Hall. 1 p.m. Donate two dozen colored eggs. To be at Hall by 10 a.m.

April 16 – Easter Sunday

April 19 – Youth Government Day at the Court House.

April 29 – 2nd District meeting at Wisconsin Dells

May 1 - Badger Girls and Boys Orientation at Sheboygan Falls high school at 6:30 p.m.

May 4 – Clean hall and set up tables 9 a.m.

May 7 – Brat Fry and Chicken roast, raffle – 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

May 11 - Auxilary meeting at Greenbush Legion Hall 6 p.m.

May 17 – Flag Retirement at Greenbush Legion Hall

May 29 – Memorial Day Program with Poppy Princess and 4-H program

We will be working on updating the by-laws and getting the yearly forms turned in.

Geraniums for the cemeteries will be available.

We will be sending out the raffle tickets soon.

We will collect the pop-top tabs and the aluminum cans at the fry.

We will continue to collect food for the Food Pantry, Coupons from the Sunday paper and The Sunshine Fund.

Delores Mill served a delicious lunch.

Door prizes won by Delores Miller and Janet Biskobing.
