Ernest “Ernie” Zolp, age 72, of Plymouth, passed away early Saturday morning (March 18, 2017) at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.

He was born September 12, 1944 in the Town of Mitchell, son of the late Peter and Dorothy (Bucko) Zolp, later moving with his parents to the farm on Sumac Road. He attended Bonnie View Grade School in the Town of Sheboygan Falls and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1962, belonging to the FFA.

Ernie and his dad did land drainage tiling for many years in addition to dairy farming. On April 15, 1978, he married Susan Schneider at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Osman. Together they took over the home farm in 1989.

Ernie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. He was also a lifelong member of the NRA. Ernie enjoyed deer, raccoon, fox, and coyote hunting. He was also very skilled at fixing things and great at wood carving. He also enjoyed growing apples and wine making. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving husband, dad, and great friend who worked hard to keep his family fed, cattle fed, and his farm well maintained. He loved spending time with his children and grandson Finn, and also taking part in holiday skits with the neighbors.

Survivors include: His loving wife: Susan; Son: Bernard (Jamie) of Verona; Two daughters: Victoria (Fiancé: Jake Smothers) of Stillwater, MN, and Jacqualyn (special friend: Peter Lensink) of Plymouth; Grandson: Finn; Sister: Cecilia (Gary) Schaefer of Sturgeon Bay; Brother in-law: Robert (Rachael) Schneider of Newton; Niece: Tracy Schaefer; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, hunting buddies, good friends, neighbors, and people he did business with over the years.

Ernie was preceded in death by: His parents; In-laws: Bernard and Lucinda Schneider; and Grandparents: John and Francis Bucko and Ignacious and Apalonia Zolp. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday evening (March 22, 2017) at 5:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22 from 3 p.m.. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ernie’s name.

Irene H. Usadel, 90, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Pine Haven.

She was born December 11, 1926 in Sheboygan to Arthur and Minnie (Rambadt) Otto. On November 27, 1958, she was united in marriage to Albert Usadel, he preceded her in death in July 15, 2008.

Irene worked as an administrative assistant for the Leverenze Shoe Co., and was employed by Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and Klemme’s Wagon Wheel.

Having a strong faith, Irene was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, teaching Sunday school, singing with the choir, and with the Sheboygan Lutheran Chorus. She enjoyed farming, traveling to Canada and Mexico, doing word puzzles, and cats.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Mary (Jim) Madden, step-son Wayne (Debbie) Usadel, grandchildren Zachary and Austin Madden, one brother, Robert (Mary) Otto, and by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert and brother, Reuben Otto.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, W2776 State Hwy 32, Howards Grove with Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name
