DNA genealogy class at SCHRC

The Sheboygan County Historical Research Center, located at 518 Water St. in Sheboygan Falls, has scheduled a DNA and genealogy class Monday, April 10.

A genealogical DNA test looks at a person’s genome at specific locations. Results give information about genealogy or personal ancestry.

In general, these tests compare the results of an individual to others from the same lineage or to current and historic ethnic groups.

Class participants will learn about different tests available, the basics of DNA testing, what they can tell us and much more.

The DNA and genealogy class will be held at the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center from 1-3 p.m.

The class is open to the public. For more information, call 467- 4667.
