Ronald Ben Kohlmann, age 80, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday evening (March 28, 2017) after recently moving to Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan.

He was born on August 7, 1936 in Fond du Lac, WI, a son of the late Raymond and Eleanore (Schmitz) Kohlmann. He attended St. Cloud Grade School, graduated from New Holstein High School in 1955, and served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Following his service Ron worked as a machinist for Kohler Company for 43 years.

On July 2, 1960 Ron married Annette Fye at the Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and the Plymouth Snow Rangers. He enjoyed country dancing, snowmobiling, hunting, boating, camping, and spending time with his friends and family. After his retirement, Ron and his wife especially liked traveling throughout the states in their motor home, and their winter stays in Mission, TX. He also enjoyed working on the lovely yard and home, which they built in Plymouth.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 57 years: Annette; Two children: Kevin (Connie) Kohlmann of Plymouth and Debra Kohlmann-Laack of Plymouth; One grandchild: Latreace (Jason) Bucher-Laack of Plymouth; Two greatgrandchildren: Brecklynn and Levi Bucher-Laack; One brother: Fr. Vernon Kohlmann of New Jersey; Three sisters in-law: Dianne (Victor) Erickson of Plymouth, Geraldine Thede of New Holstein, Beverly (Charlie) Harder of Plymouth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents; Brother: Erne (Bernice) Kohlmann; Sister-in-law: Audrey (James) Grimmer; and two loving grandchildren: Justine and Logan Laack.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday (June 1, 2017) at 5:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek and Father Vernon Kohlmann will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.

Visitation will take place at the church on Thursday (June 1) from 3:00 PM until time of services.
