Marsha Jane Thyren (nee Megchelsen), 67, of Waldo, WI went home to be with Jesus her Savior on April 8, 2017.

She was born April 22, 1949 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of David and Wilma Megchelsen.

She married Dr. Paul Thyren on June 11, 1971. She was a devoted Pastor’s wife for over 43 years serving churches in Oconomowoc, and Adell, WI. She enjoyed teaching women and children and traveled to minister in Ghana, Indonesia, Mongolia and Tanzania. She was an office assistant at the Adell Co-op Agronomy Department. A devoted wife and mother, she loved being “Nana” to 12 grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed taking walks everyday. She found great delight and was generous in supporting missions around the world including the sponsorship of two orphan children in South Asia.

She is survived by her husband, Paul of Waldo, WI; her children Annalisa (John) Siczka of Fox Point, WI; Stephen (Nery) Thyren of Milwaukee, WI; Bethany (Phil) Blechacz of Port Washington, WI; and Valerie (Alton) Schultz of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; brother Barry Megchelsen of Wheeling, IL and sister Melanie Pav of Largo FL.

She is furthered survived by many loving family and friends around the world. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Wilma Megchelsen.

A celebration of Marsha’s life will take place on April 22, 2017 at Open Door Bible Church 3420 County LL, Port Washington, WI at 11am. A visitation will take place at the church Friday April 21, 2017 from 6-8pm and Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 9am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is established at Grace Bible Church, 300 Neugent St. Adell, WI 53001.
