Adult caregivers program at ADRC

The Family Caregivers Coalition of Sheboygan County will present a Caregivers Connect educational program titled “Adult Children Caring for Aging Parents” on Thursday, April 20, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Aging & Disability Resource (ADRC) of Sheboygan County in Sheboygan Falls.

The program presenter will be Lynn Scheinoha, Family Caregiving program specialist, ADRC of the Lakeshore.

The number of adult children caring for their parents has reached over 44 million nationally.

Many adult children are caring for their parents, while still raising their own children or assisting with the care of grandchildren.

This event is free and open to those who are family caregivers and anyone interested in learning more about the topic.

Registration is requested by calling the Sheboygan County Aging & Disability Resource Center at 467-4100.

Caregivers Connect provides an opportunity for caregivers to meet in an informal, social environment to learn practical tips on a variety of topics that will assist with the physical, emotional, financial and spiritual challenges of family caregiving.

Caregivers Connect is sponsored by the Family Caregivers Coalition in Sheboygan County.
