RCS Empowers leadership to change

The RCS Empowers Inc. Board of Directors has announced that President Ron Van Rooyen will retire at the end of April.

As part of their two-year succession plan, the board has appointed the current Chief Financial Officer Martha VandeLeest to succeed Ron Van Rooyen as president, effective April 29.

Van Rooyen began his work with RCS in 1969. was named executive director in 1973 and appointed president in 1983.

He has contributed significantly to the RCS Empowers. Inc. strategic growth over the past 47 years.

Van Rooyen's leadership and vision resulted in strong business models and programs throughout the RCS Empowers, Inc.’s organization, which created a solid foundation that will ensure future success and growth.

VandeLeest joined RCS in 2015 as in the role of chief financial officer, with an accounting degree from Lakeland College and an MBA from the UW-Madison, School of Business. VandeLeest came to RCS with 30 years of business and leadership experience.

She has worked closely for the past two years with the RSC Board of Directors and Van Rooyen to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
