Bramstedt, Grinna lead Tigers in quad meets

OOSTBURG – Seniors Noah Bramstedt and Kjersten Grinna won two events each to pace the Howards Grove Tigers’ boys and girls teams, respectfully, in the Big East Conference quadrangulars here April 11.

Bramstedt won the 100-meter dash in 11.4 seconds and the 200 race in 23.5. Grinna earned first in the 200 in 28.3 and the 300 low hurdles with a time of 49.2.

The Tigers had one other first-place finisher on the day with the girls 3,200 relay. Mattie Milz, Natalie Englebert, Angela Hayner and Heather Fry combined for a time of 12:29.0.

Oostburg won the girls meet with 81 points, followed by Mishicot at 61, Kohler with 53 and HG, 45.

Oostburg also took first in the boys competition with 94 points. Kohler took second with 84, followed by HG at 41 and Mishicot, 27.

The HG girls had four second place finishers – Grinna in the 100 in 13.7; Englebert, 3,200 in 14:42.0; and Stephanie TeStroete in the shot put and discus with throws of 31-5¾ and 90-8, respectfully.

Placing second for the Tiger boys was the 800 relay team of Kaedin Roethel, Luke Schroeder, Bramstedt and Kaden Summerville in 1:55.0.
