Karvers host ‘Artistry in Wood’

He will be the featured carver at the Rock River Valley Carvers show in Janesville September 9. - Review photo by Barry Johanson From the tall to the small, and in an arrary of imagined worlds between, the Sheboygan County Kettle Karvers show Saturday at the Lakers Ice Center, Sheboygan, demonstrated the fascinating attration of finding beauty in bits, pieces, slabs and stumps of wood. Carvings ranged from walking sticks to elaborate bas relief “pictures” and hyper-detailed wood burned and painted wildlife scenes to demonstrations of chainsaw sculpting.
