Celebratin’ lumberjackin’

Celebratin’ lumberjackin’ Celebratin’ lumberjackin’ Students in Karen Propson’s fourth-grade class at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Elementary School recently enjoyed their annual Lumberjack Day.

Students have been studying Wisconsin state history all year. An important part of Wisconsin’s past was the logging era.

To celebrate the day by dressing served a (elementary school cafeteria) which was servedWebydeliver!cookees (parents of the students). The breakfast consisted of stovelids (pancakes), sinkers (doughnut holes), murphys (fried potatoes), beans, applesauce, and sausage.

Students also had a visit from a real lumberjack in the afternoon. Students learned more about the lumberjack lifestyle from the lumberjack. In addition, students got to experience using a crosscut saw, a frying pan contest and a log rolling contest.

A special thank you to everyone who helped to make the Annual Lumberjack Day a success.
