A father and daughter were found dead in an apparent murder suicide at a town of Lima residence Thursday, April 27.

On Thursday, April 27 2017 at 1:47 p.m. the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from Sarah L. Soucheck, 38, who was located at a residence in the N3100 block of Leynse Road in the town of Lima in southeastern Sheboygan County.

Souchek informed a Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office dispatcher that she was armed, had committed a homicide and was suicidal. She then disconnected the phone line.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office dispatched multiple resources to the scene, including SWAT, negotiator, rescue and medical personnel.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, Oostburg Ambulance and Adell Fire Department First Responders also responded to the 911 call.

After arriving on the scene, the SWAT team was able to enter the residence where the body of Thomas W. Rank, 64, was found.

Authorities determined that Rank was deceased as the result of an apparent gunshot wound.

After checking the residence, Soucheck’s body was located. She was also deceased from what officers determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

In a news release issued Friday, April 28, the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office identified Rank as Soucheck's father.

Court records reveal that Soucheck had a criminal record dating back to 2010 when she was found guilty of theft from a business setting and issue of worthless checks

In December 2016, she was charged with felony theft-false representation in the amount of over $10,000. A plea hearing for the case had been scheduled for May 11.
