Lonny L. Schirmer, age 59, of the Town of Plymouth, passed away early Wednesday morning (April 26, 2017) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

He was born on July 21, 1957 in Plymouth, WI, son of the late Leander and Beverly (Gahagan) Schirmer.

Lonny attended Parkview Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1975.

On February 28, 1995 he married Jeri Dean in Las Vegas, NV. The couple resided in the Town of Plymouth since their marriage.

He worked alongside his father, Leander “Buck”, and his brothers Ronny “Smiley” and Pat for many years at PRL Excavating.

He continued working with his brothers after his father’s retirement to build it up to what it is today and he was very proud to have the 3rd generation, his son; Nickolas, working in the business with him.

Lonny was a member of Abate of Wisconsin, Region 2A.

He enjoyed working, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his good friends and family.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 22 years: Jeri of Plymouth; five sons: Lanny (Stephanie) Schirmer of Cape Coral, FL, Randy Schirmer of Plymouth, Joshua Lawonn of Sheboygan, Nickolas Schirmer of Plymouth, Matt Schirmer of Plymouth; two grandchildren: Liam Robert Schirmer and Landon John Schirmer and one step grandson: Gary Banks all of Cape Coral, FL; one brother: Patrick (Linda) Schirmer of Town of Plymouth; one brother-in-law: James (Judy) Dean of Adell; mother-in-law: Jean Dean of Sheboygan Falls; and one aunt: Sharon Struve of Plymouth.

Lonny is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Ronny “Smiley” Schirmer; father-inlaw: James Dean.

Following his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening (May 3, 2017) at 6:30 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Deborah Tyler, pastor of Community U.C.C in Elkhart Lake, will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday (May 3) at the Suchon Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Lonny’s name.
