Three more authors to present at Sheboygan youth book festival

Sheboygan County Reads!, the non-profit organization which promotes the love of books and reading among local youngsters, has revealed three more presenters for the 2017 Sheboygan Children’s and Teen’s Book Festival. The book festival, set to take place Oct. 13-15, will include Eugene Yelchin, Barney Saltzberg and Sara Pennypacker.

Winner of the Newbery Honor Award for Breaking Stalin’s Nose, Yelchin is the author and illustrator of picture books and novels for middle grade children.

Boasting a career as an author, illustrator, singer, teacher, and songwriter, Saltzberg has written and illustrated over 40 children's book.

Shari Lewis recorded his songs and he has written and produced songs for the PBS show Arthur.

As part of his appearance at the Children’s Book Festival, Saltzberg will perform at a special bedtime concert for children.

Pennypacker is the author of Pax, which has been on the NY Times Bestseller list for 54 weeks now.
