Falls’ Widder completes Iowa State CALS Ambassador program

Elizabeth Widder, of Sheboygan Falls has successfully completed the spring 2017 semester as a member of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Ambassadors at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

This highly selective group of students plays a pivotal role in the recruitment activities of the college.

Members of this group, open to all students in the college, are required to log at least 20 hours of volunteering each semester and maintain attendance and participation requirements.

Ambassadors serve actively on one of seven committees, each tasked with specific duties related to the purposes of recruitment and engagement within the college.

Widder, who is majoring in agronomy, served as member of the High School Visits Committee, which is tasked with creating an interactive presentation for high school students.

The presentation is used by ambassadors during these visits to assist in promoting CALS and sharing their personal experiences.
