Plymouth remembers

Memorial Day was marked with the traditional parade (below, left and center) and Union Cemetery program, hosted by the World’s Cheese Center Veterans of Foreign War Post 5612, Monday in Plymouth. Keynote speaker Maj. Peter Katzfey (above) gave a meaningful and touching address, remembering several of his fallen colleagues from his tours of duty in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. The program also featured patriotic selections from the Plymouth High School Band (left), under the direction of Jason Sebranek. It concluded with a ceremonial rifle volley by the VFW firing squad (above left) and the playing of echo Taps (below right).
