Annual Greek Fest features food, dancing, liturgy service

The 74th annual Sheboygan Greek Fest, sponsored by St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, will take place June 23-25 at Deland Park on Sheboygan’s lakefront.

Once a backyard church picnic, the event has become one of the area’s favorite food festivals featuring authentic Greek cuisine, including gyro sandwiches, roasted chicken, Greek kabobs, spinach pie, flaming cheese, and an assortment of specialty pastry.

Costumed folk dancers will perform each day and there will be a cash raffle with a drawing on Sunday. A bounce tent will be available for children.

An Orthodox Divine Liturgy service, mostly in English, will be held on the grounds at 9 a.m. on Sunday before the festival opens for the door. The public is welcome.

Admission, performances, and parking are free, and tickets are purchased for food and activities.
