A new Old Glory

Raising a new American flag was part of the Flag Day ceremony at Rocky Knoll Wednesday conducted by members of the Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 of Plymouth and the Haslee-Doebert-Schmidt American Legion Post 261 of Greenbush. Along with retiring the old flag, the ceremony included a history of Flag Day, reading Gov. Scott Walker’s Flag Day proclamation, recognition of Rocky Knoll residents who are veterans and a firing squad salute followed by the playing of Taps. For more pictures from the Flag Day ceremony at Rocky Knoll, see the photo album on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/wisconsinnewspress or search for ‘Plymouth Review’ on Facebook.
