WBE rallies to top PHS JV
West Ben East exploded for eight runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a 12-8 comeback win over the Plymouth Panthers in a nonconference junior varsity baseball game June 10 in Plymouth.
PHS led 8-6 going into the seventh, keyed by a six-run first.
The Panthers banged out 13 hits, led by Sam Shutter, Bennet Dale, Halen Johnson, Jonathon Thome and Kyle Bermke with two each. Brady Albers and Dale had a team-high two RBIs each.
In other recent games, PHS lost to New Holstein, 7-3, and Oostburg, 9-8; and outlasted Cedar Grove-Belgium, 16-14.
In the Cedar Grove game, Jack Miller sparked the PHS attack with three hits and five RBIs. Dillion Fritz contributed three RBIs. Max Ludington was the winning pitcher.
