Roger E. Bergin, age 75, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home early Monday (June 26, 2017).

He was born in Plymouth on July 31, 1941, son of the late Carl Bergin and Lucille (Dippel) Heider.

Roger attended Plymouth grade schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1960.

He drove truck for: Elroy Schultz, Stafford Trucking, Glacier Transit Storage, and Sargento. Roger retired from Sargento in 2003.

On July 26, 1986, he married Carol (Clemens) Schmidt at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth.

Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved watching sports and was an avid Packer fan. Most of all he cherished spending time with his loving family.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 30 years: Carol of Plymouth; Two daughters: Michele (Jack) Herber of Woodstock, GA and Renae (Dennis) Giddens of Lakeland, GA; Two stepchildren: Deb (Brad) Weber of Beaver Dam and Brian (Kathy) Schmidt of Elkhart Lake; Grandchildren: Jay Herber and Mitchell (Ashley) Herber both of GA; Step-grandchildren: Dylan and Trent Struve, Dakota and Grace Schmidt, Danny and Madeline Schneider, and Megan Weber; Two greatgrandchildren: Aidan and Ryan Herber; and His special uncle: Dick (Dianne) Dippel of Crossville, TN.

He is further survived by: Two brothers: Reuben Bergin of Goodridge, MN and Ricky (Gloria) Bergin of Sioux Falls, SD; Two sisters: Roseann Spradau (special friend: Elmer Osborne) of The Villages, FL and Rita (Paul) Keranen of Tecumseh, KS; Sisters-in-law: Jean Bergin of Sierra Vista, AZ and Doreen (Terry) Huberty of Plymouth; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, step-father: Harry Heider, father and mother-in-law: Lester and Nora Clemens, and four brothers: Romaine, Robert, Ralph, and Ronald Bergin.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday (July 2, 2017) at 4:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Inurnment will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Sunday (July 2) from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Roger’s name.
