Earl L. Diels, age 87, of Plymouth, WI, passed away early Tuesday morning (July 25, 2017) at the Waterford in Plymouth where he had been a resident for the past year.

He was born October 12, 1929, in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, a son of the late Harvey and Sylvia (Glass) Diels. He attended schools in Beechwood and Plymouth.

On December 1, 1951, he married Mary A. Berenz at St. Claudius Catholic Church in St. Cloud, WI. The couple celebrated their Golden Anniversary on Dec. 1, 2001. The couple lived in the Plymouth area all of their married life. Mary preceded him in death on October 30, 2010.

Earl worked at Milwaukee Road, the Asplundh Tree Company and then at Kohler Co. in Kohler for 42 years until retirement in 1992. He belonged to the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Earl enjoyed playing euchre with his card buddies for many years. He took great pride in working on his lawn and many house projects.

He is survived by his three loving daughters: Nancy Ann (Matt) Reindl of Plymouth, Judith (Manuel) Casarez of Cedar Grove, Deborah (Jeff) Lensmire of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren: Ronald Radloff, Chad (Chris) Radloff, Amy Lynn Kalmas, Rose (Ryan) Janke, Becky Casarez, Stephani (Kurt) Brunner, and Manuel Casarez Jr., Amanda (Kyle) Balk, Jeffrey Lensmire Jr., Jason (Nikki) Lensmire , Benjamin Lensmire, Jeremy (Chris) Lensmire, Stacey (Brad) Haendel; 14 great-grandchildren: Emily and Katie Radloff , Alexis Condy, Ethan Radloff, Jacob Kalmas Jr., Elizabeth Kalmas, Natalie Lensmire, Ian Lensmire, Finn Janke, Ashley and Brice Haendel, Jordan, Jacklyn and Jensyn Lensmire; and One brother: Vernon Diels of Plymouth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Mary, also an infant son, Jeffrey Earl, and two daughters, Infant Jean Marie (twin of Joanie Marie) and Joanie Marie Lemkuil, two sisters: infant sister, Margaret and Anna Jane and her husband, Clifford Behr, one brother: Armin (Delores) Diels and one sister-in-law: Helen Diels.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday evening (July 28, 2017) at 5:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the CHURCH on Friday (July 28) from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Earl’s name.
