HOWARDS GROVE.The Village Board voted unanimously to recommend completing an addendum to the current master plan that is required every 10 years.

Plan Commission Chairman Chris Heili presented three options in which the board could consider. The village could update the plan for 20 years, make an addendum or initiate amendments to the current plan to bring it up to date.

Heili also stated that this had to be completed before the village could allow future zone changes to be made.

After some discussion, the board felt that an addendum to the current plan would be the less time-consuming option.

The board approved a certified survey map for Randall Grunewald of W2583 County FF. Grunewald would like to split off 3.35 acres of land, with no improvements, from a larger parcel.

A concept plan submitted by Caitlin Brotz McNitt and Renee DeBruin for land on Madison Avenue near Audubon Road was denied in order that it could be refiled with a new plan.

An application for an additional driveway at 436/438 Millersville Ave. on property owned by Leonard Weiss was approved with a contingency that both lots are merged to change the boundaries of the lot.

The second installment payment of $56,335 to JF Ahern for the wastewater treatment plant upgrade was approved.

Approval of the phosphorus year four final compliance alternative plan for the wastewater treatment plant was postponed to a future date.

A request from the Howards Grove Fire Department for free use of the Village Hall community center for a private appreciation banquet was approved. No date was determined as of the meeting.

A resolution to move $157,314 from the maintenance account to the village budget to allow for the purchase of a new plow truck and lawnmower was approved. Also, $23,932 was allocated for purchasing a replacement pump at the firehouse.

A resolution providing for publication, filing, inspection and adoption of a code of general ordinances was postponed. A date and time for a public hearing on the changes and updates needs to be scheduled before the resolution can be approved.
