Riverdogs advance to championship series

The victory advances the Riverdogs to the best 2-of-3 championship series against Cleveland. Game one will be played Sunday at HG at 1 p.m.

Brad Olson pitched 7-1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Olson gave up five hits, walked only two and had five strikeouts. Isaac Dirker relieved Olson and fanned both of the batters he faced. The game ended after eight innings due to the 10-run rule.

The big blow was Ashton Holzman’s two-out, three-run double.

HG’s attack was led by Austin Edge, Dylan Callahan, Holzman and Ryan Halverson with two hits each. Zach Fritz cracked a two-run triple in the seventh.
