Sheriff applicants sought

Gov. Scott Walker is seeking applicants for appointment as sheriff in Sheboygan County.

The appointment will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Sheriff Todd Priebe. The new sheriff will begin serving Jan. 3, 2018, and will complete a term ending Jan. 6, 2019.

An applicant is not required to reside in Sheboygan County at the time the appointment becomes effective.

Those interested in applying for the position should submit the following:

Online Application: found on Governor Walker’s website, www.walker.wi.gov. On the right side, hover over “Contact” and then click on “Apply to Serve.”

If the online application is not functioning, please send a cover letter and resume to the email address govappointments@wisconsin.gov.

Applicants should outline in their cover letters what professional and academic experiences qualify them to be sheriff and describe their civic activities and community involvement.
