Tigers share third in County Classic

The Tigers lost in the semifinals to Oostburg, 21-25, 25-23, 7-15. Sheboygan North defeated Oostburg in the championship match.

HG, the three-time defending champion, shared third with Random Lake which lost in the semifinals to North. The top-two teams in Pool A and Pool B advanced to the semifinals.

In pool play, the Tigers finished 4-1, with their only loss to North, 12-25, 21-25.

North won Pool A, followed by HG. Oostburg was the Pool B winner and Random Lake took second.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah finished 1-4 in Pool B. Plymouth played in Pool B and its record wasn’t available at press time.

Leah Parnitzke had a team-high 61 assists and Makenzie Schlafke made 40.

Mackenzie Holzwart paced HG in digs with 61 and Parnitzke contributed 26. Katy Berg had a team-high 10 ace serves.

Avery Feldmann led EL-G in kills with 15, followed by Megan Flora’s 10. Feldmann had a team-best 27 assists. Resorter head coach Diane Feldmann said Flora, Kianna Bahr and Sarah Schneider were key in the team’s serving success.
