LaVERNE E. SCHULTZ

LaVerne E. Schultz, 88, of Plymouth, WI, passed away early Sunday afternoon (September 10, 2017) surrounded by her loving family at Kindred Hearts in Plymouth where she had been a resident for the last two and a half years.

She was born on February 23, 1929 in the Town of Herman, a daughter of the late Arwin and Anita (Kuhn) Gosse.

She attended Elm Grove School in Town of Mosel

On June 14, 1947, LaVerne married Oliver Schultz at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in the Town of Mosel. The couple resided in the Town of Fredonia after their marriage and since 1950 in Plymouth. They lived on North Milwaukee Street in Plymouth and were the official greeters, waving to people from their front porch for many years. Oliver preceded her in death on October 15, 2007.

She was employed with her husband with Schultz Radio & TV. LaVerne helped Oliver for many years fix record players, radios, and install TV antennas on homes until their retirement in 1987.

LaVerne was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Plymouth.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing word searches and playing cards, especially sheepshead.

Survivors include three children: Rodney (Judy) Schultz of Sheboygan Falls, Audrey (Tom) Nickleby of Montrose, MN, Beverly (Cletus) Leonhard of Sheboygan; Six grandchildren: Christina (Conway) Reese of Eagan, MN, Michelle (Roger) Wagner of Sheboygan Falls, Jamie Burkart of Plymouth, Stacey Schultz of Rochester, MN, Bradley Burkart of Howards Grove, Carrie (Tim) Klay of Sheboygan; Two great grandchildren: Madison Reese of Eagan, MN, Cynthia Wagner of Sheboygan Falls; One brother: Kenneth (JoAnn) Gosse of Kohler; One sister: LuEllen (Ralph) Dhein of Howards Grove; and Four sisters-in-law: Carola Schneider of Cascade, Arleen Lund of Batavia, Darlene Gosse of Sheboygan and Jelane Gosse of Howards Grove.

LaVerne is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cindy Burkart-Reynolds; one grandchild, Kelly Schultz; three brothers: Daniel, LeRoy, and Roger Gosse; two sisters: Elaine Gwinn and Elvira Beyer; one son-in-law: Dale Townsley; nine brothersin law: Vernon Schultz, Norbert Schultz, Vincent Schultz, William Gwinn, Jerome Schneider, Norman Beyer, Hugo Hoeft, Arno Kulow, and Gordon Lund; and five sisters-in-law: Anita Glenzer, Violet Hoeft, Adeline Kulow, Isabel Schultz and Virgiline Schultz.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 14, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Pat Hennen, Chaplain for the Heartland Hospice in Fond du Lac officiated. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
