New Huson Tower dedication set for Saturday

With the theme “Risen from the Ashes,” the reconstructed Henry Huson Tower on Collins Street will be dedicated Saturday, Sept. 23, from 1-4 p.m.

The ceremony will take place at the historical landmark street above the Mullet River. The tower, rebuilt after an arson fire in 2015 destroyed the original, includes the windmill that once graced the tower.

Ron Hartman, windmill designer and builder, will be present to answer questions.

The contents of a time capsule, which will include a list of names of donors to the reconstruction project, will be on display before it is buried.
